A small step along with you, and a giant leap into the  future for him !

It has been proved that brain growth and development are a single dynamic process. This is a process which can be stopped (as it is by brain injury). This is a process which can be slowed (as it is by moderate brain injury), but most significantly, this is a process which can be SPEEDED

How can it be speeded?

Stimulation is the key to unlocking a child’s potential and. Teaching should commence as early as possible.
The first five years in a child’s life is a critical time. This is the time when the brain is growing explosively. The brain literally grows by use – and if we use it, we’re going to grow it. And if you don’t use it,

especially when the child is very young, then you literally will lose brain cells – you won’t have as much brain power as you would’ve had.

And you, the parent is his best teacher

You are and you will always be your child’s best teacher – better than anyone in the whole world – because you know your child better than anyone else. And you happen to adore your child and that’s the perfect combination for a teacher

What can I teach my child?

You can teach him anything and everything

You can also teach him to read

CHILDREN CAN READ AND CHILDREN

LOVE TO READ

Is it really possible to create young readers?
Why not?

We have often seen children born in musical families, start singing at very tender ages. They are even able to identify ragas. Similarly we see children coming from artistic backgrounds not only paint beautifully, but have a keen colour sense.
Very early and consistent exposure and stimulation has made the child imbibe the art unconsciously.

All of us may not be musically and artistically inclined, but all of us are sufficiently good readers and hence be able to provide the necessary stimulus to  help our children to become good and effortless readers

Is it really necessary for my young child to read so early in life?

Reading is one of the highest functions of the human brain. Of all creatures on earth only human beings can read.
At a very young age, children are unconscious learners and what‘s more they love it!

The earlier the child learns to read, the better the child reads and the more likely the child wants to read.
Children can easily read words when they are one year old, sentences when they are two and whole books when they are three year old.
Perhaps it will be only a few more years before it becomes commonplace for two- and three-year-olds to know how to read. When that happens, the idea that children should not be taught to read until they are five, six or even seven will seem outmoded, and a little strange – just as the idea of reserving literacy for privileged people sound outdated to us today!
We start talking to our child from the day he is born .We never doubt our child’s ability to understand what we say to him .We are sure that he’ll understand whatever we say and reply to us in a proper and meaningful way in due course of time. We are sure that nature has bestowed the gift of talking on man.

The same nature has bestowed the gift of reading on man. So if we are able to provide the necessary stimulus for reading, we can be sure that our children will read as effortlessly as they speak.

Let us try to recollect how we stimulated our children to speak -

There was an inborn urge and urgency in us to communicate with our child

Talking to the child became a regular and consistent and pleasurable exercise.

Talking with the child took place in a quiet environment.

Talking took place on a one to one basis.

The same set of words was repeated at regular intervals.

Most of the talking took place when the baby was satiated and was wide-awake.

We spoke loudly to the child, we never whispered to the child.

In the beginning we used single words. Later on it was 2 words and much later sentences.
When we started speaking in single words, at no point of time  did we expect the child to talk to us. We never tested whether the child is listening to us. We assumed that the child is listening to us and taking in all what we say and will start talking when he is ready and no child has ever failed us. They listen, they assimilate and they talk .We can safely presume that the child did what was needed of him, because he was under no pressure and there was no testing.

Then is it not possible to make our children read as well Using the same principle?.

It is possible and is very simple.

The HappyReading programme uses the above

principles to make young children, excellent and effortless readers.

HappyReading is a home based reading and spelling programme based on the flash card methodology. This is a 4 month programme done by you in the comforts of your home and at your and child’s leisure. No Pressure, No Tension. What’s more, you spend just one minute in a day.

The HappyReading set consists of  270 word cards,30 couplets,60phrases and 5 booklets. The words include all nouns, verbs and adjectives which are generally taught in the first and second classes. It also includes 10 story books, an easy to follow Owner’s Manual and a DEMO DVD with a video demonstration and  presentation of programme.

How can we be so sure?

Because it has been done with thousands and thousands of very young children. It HAS PRODUCED YOUNG GENIUSES

Can my child ‘ read ’ the words?

The words in the card are only pictures for your child. A child when shown the picture of an elephant takes in the whole picture and retains it in his memory. He recognizes the same by name, when he sees the picture again.
The same thing happens when he sees a word. He considers every word to be a picture and absorbs the whole word. He does not break the word because he has not learnt his alphabets. So, a child who has not learnt his alphabets is at a greater advantage.

How does Happy Reading  Help me and my child ?

During the course of the programme itself, you will find that your child recognizes the words, which have been flashed to him. He also starts showing a keen interest in words, which form the basis of reading.

When the child enters school, he has already learnt to read and so schoolwork is cakewalk for him.  A proficient and avid reader is a teacher’s delight. He is able to copy notes from the board faster and more easily than other children.

A good reader is almost always a good speller. The more and more he reads, the greater is his understanding of concepts. Understanding leads to a greater quest for knowledge, which forms the basis of learning.

The end result is

A happy child

A happy parent

What about Spellings ?!? Does Happy Reading  help my child learn spellings too ?

Indeed !!

Learning to spell a word has been the most dreaded task for the young children.

The most prevalent method is to ask the child to write the word five or more number of times or say the word repeatedly (the poor child looks skywards to remember the alphabets).

And even if the child spells the word correctly, there is no guarantee that the child will do so at all times (how many mothers have dreaded the examination day!)

Imagine, teaching your child the spellings throughout the primary classes !!

Which mother or teacher will not like to have an EASY and FUN FILLED way of teaching spellings to their children?

HappyReading gives the whole aspect of learning spellings a new dimension wherein spellings becomes a game for the child. And what’s more, your child goes on making new words and their spellings, too.

So, No more looking up at the sky for spellings !

Do I need to be highly educated and spend a lot of time to do the programme

Not at all!

You should be able to only read and say the words`

You need to only spend one minute in a day

Be there  to Hold his hand while he takes the first step into the world of reading,
Then sit back and watch with pride when he soars higher and higher!
